Black metal Avdel clip with GA 1 stamped on the exterior of the clip.
History / Summary
Avdel clips were used to hold sheets of aluminium skin together during construction. This clip is significant in that it shows construction methods and tools used on this early model of Avro Lancaster B.I. and it flew onboard the AWM's aircraft 'G for George' aircraft during its entire operational and post-war career.
