Studio portrait of Major Walter Lionel Ekin Smyth, Manchester Regiment. Smyth attended Duntroon and graduated in 1926. He was one of a select few who where invited to take a commission with the British Army and was posted with the Manchester Regiment. Smyth saw service in India, the North-West Frontier and in Burma.
