Description

Australian Army machete and green canvas scabbard. The machete has a single edge bolo blade with a laminated plain wood grip having four alloy rivets attaching them to the tang. The right side is carved with 'A' and there is a hole in the pommel to insert a wrist strap. The scabbard is stitched and has steel rivets down one edge. A small pouch is stitched on the front for a sharpening stone (missing). The press stud is missing from the securing strap of the pouch. There are steel rivets at the throat and a belt loop is stiched to the rear, incorporating a wire hook belt loop and a press stud webbing strap to go across the handle. Marked on the back of the scabbard is '8465-66-011-5820 (broad arrow) CANTAS'.
