At Cape Otway Signal Station on a horse-drawn cart are, left to right: PM2243 Signalman (Sig) Alwyn John (Jack) Breen and W1235 Sig Colin Raymond Donaldson. Sig Breen enlisted on 25 September 1939 at Kyabram, Vic, and was killed in action on 19 February 1942 in Darwin. Sig Donaldson enlisted at Rochester, Vic, on 4 September 1939. He served aboard the Niew Zeeland, the Laurabada and HMAS Madang.
