Description
Studio portrait of 195 Lance Corporal (LCpl) Stanley Roland Mills, 1st Division Signal Company. Mills was a clerk prior to enlisting in Melbourne at the age of 19. He served on the Gallipoli peninsula and was hospitalised in London after being temporarily blinded by gas while serving in France. He returned to Australia on 9 March 1919 and died in 1979, aged 83.
