Description
Studio portrait of 8660 Corporal (Cpl) George McAdam Polwarth, 5th Depot Unit of Supply, 21st Army Service Corps (ASC), of Flemington, Vic. Cpl Polwarth enlisted on 13 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Ceramic on 23 November 1915. He was later promoted to sergeant and was killed in action on 9 August 1918 at Harbonnieres, France, whilst serving with the 59th Battalion.
