A German Albatros D5A scout aircraft, at the Australian Flying Corps (AFC) hangars, near Bailleul, in France. This aeroplane was brought down the same day by Lieutenant L Sandy and Sergeant Gunner H F Hughes, near Armentieres, during the combat in which they both were killed.
