Studio portrait of 3067 Private Michael Patterson, 47th Battalion, of Maclean, NSW. A baker prior to enlisting on 12 August 1915, he embarked from Brisbane, Qld, aboard HMAT Warilda on 5 October 1915. He was killed in action on 10 August 1916 in Pozieres, France, aged 19.
