Studio portrait of 5219 Private Geoffrey Hugh Macpherson, 3rd Battalion of Tamworth, NSW. A bank clerk prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard SS Makarini on 1 April 1916. On 3 November 1916, he was killed in action at Flers, France, aged 19. He is buried in the Bulls Road Cemetery, Flers, France.
