Studio portrait of 3770 Private Norman Hall Bennett, 17th Battalion, of Chatswood, NSW. A hairdresser prior to enlisting on 27 August 1915, he embarked from Sydney, NSW, aboard HMAT Runic on 20 January 1916. He was killed in action on 3 May 1917 at Bullecourt, France, aged 20.
