Studio portrait of 4068 Private William Bolton, 18th Battalion, of Concord, NSW. A gasworker prior to enlisting on 19 November 1915, he embarked from Sydney, NSW, aboard HMAT Star of England on 8 March 1916. He was killed in action on 19 November 1916 in Flers, France, aged 28.
