Studio portrait of 954 Private Frederick Watson, 2nd Battalion, of Duri, NSW. A labourer prior to enlisting on 7 March 1916, he embarked from Sydney, NSW, aboard HMAT Marathon on 4 May 1916. He died on 10 January 1917 of wounds received at the Somme, France, aged 33.
