Grave and original marker of 3672 Private (Pte) Ernest McCullagh, 53rd Battalion, a wharf labourer of Dawes Point, NSW, prior to his enlistment. Pte McCullagh signed up on 14 July 1917 and embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Miltiades on 2 August 1917. He was killed in action on 1 September 1918 in France.
