On parade Army magazine stories out takes (DPR/S/43)
Description
1. Members of the 14 Medium Coast Battery, Citizens Military Force (CMF) with instructors from the Australian Regular Army take part in a calibration shoot of 6 inch guns at South Head, Sydney 19 September 1954. 2. Coverage of battle demonstration held at Green Hills, Liverpool, NSW 10 October 1954. Patricipation units were 4 Battalion Royal Australian Regiment (4RAR), 1 Armoured Regiment, 1 Field Regiment and 14 Company Air Dispatch RAASC. Principal spectators were National Servicemen from 2 National Service Training Brigade and their friends and relatives. 3. Demonstration of training of guard and mine dector dogs staged by the School of Military Engineering at Casula, NSW 20 October 1954 . 4. Australian troops mainly from 1 RAR troops on leave from Korea visit the Miyajima rest centre located on the island of Itsukushima, Hiroshima, Japan. This item was filmed by V J Sweeny.
