Studio portrait of 671 Private (later Corporal) Albert Lindsay, 25th Battalion. A bricklayer of South Brisbane prior to enlistment, he embarked as a member of C Company aboard HMAT Aeneas (A60) from Brisbane on 29 June 1915. Corporal Lindsay was killed in action in France on 29 July 1916, aged 27. He is buried at the London Cemetery and Extension, Longueval, France.
