Aluminium carrying case for Bell and Howell DR-70 camera and equipment : Australian War Correspondent Neil Davis
Description
Timber carrying case clad in aluminium and fitted for camera equipment. The interior is lined with blue corduroy fabric. A central section is designed to fit a 16mm camera leaving a storage cavity on either side. The case has three hinges at the back and is closed at the front by two snap locks with key holes and a central clasp. The vinyl carrying handle is below the clasp. The remains of several airline and hotel stickers are evident around the sides and top and a piece of white fabric tape is attached to the front which reads "NBC-Davis #2".
History / Summary
Customised camera case which used by Australian War Photographer and Correspondent Neil Davis on assignments in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. He was killed in Bangkok in 1985.
