Description

A towed, 12-tube, 107mm rocket launcher. The launcher is mounted on a carriage with split tubular trails and two pneumatic tyres. The rocket launcher is painted olive drab. The weapon is incribed with Serial number 70132 on the right hand side of the bank, and 2A G184 and 8159 on the left side of the bank of tubes. The launch tubes are arranged in three banks of four tubes.

History / Summary

This launcher was one of a number of weapons taken by Australian special operations forces serving in Afghanistan in 2006. The weapons were originally secured in Camp Russell to be destroyed either on the firing range or as targets by the appropriate authorities. This weapon type served with units of the Afghani Army in the fire support role.
