Studio portrait of PA1504 Ordinary Seaman Cyril Holt McGee, RANR, of Adelaide, SA. McGee enlisted in September 1939, was appointed Acting Sub Lieutenant in February 1941 and appointeed to HMAS Torrens shortly afterward. He became an Assistant Surveyor in January 1943 and was promoted to Lieutenant in July 1943. In February 1945 he was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (DSC) for service performed undertaking survey work. Lieutenant McGee (DSC) was discharged in February 1946.
