Souvenir signet ring : Trooper H G Harris, 2/6 Cavalry Commando Squadron
Description
Signet ring, plated with a silver coloured metal. The front of the ring has an impressed diagonal line, dividing it into two triangles. In each triangle is an impressed dot.
History / Summary
Associated with the service of QX31963 Trooper Herbert George Harris, 2/6 Commando Squadron. Trooper Harris was born in Sydney on 6 December 1912. He enlisted at Brisbane on 4 May 1942. Before he enlisted he worked in the horse racing industry. He died of wounds on 21 September 1943 in New Guinea and is buried in the Lae Military Cemetery.
