From your soldier boy
Description
Embroidered silk postcard made in France during the First World War. This postcard has an envelope style featuring a butterfly whose wings are composed of the Union Jack, the French and Belgium flags. Two small cards are included. The first features the sentiment "To my Sweetie", illustrated with an image of a woman and soldier. The second card features the message "Tell her that I love her", illustrated with a soldier talking to a cherub writing a letter on his behalf.
