Turkish metal identity disc : Lone Pine, Gallipoli
Rectangular tin identity disc with rounded corners and a suspension hole punched into one top end. The disc is impressed with arabic numbers which translate to '77 / 1 / 3 / 824'. Both front and rear surfaces are stained with accretion.
One of three Turkish identity discs recovered from the Lone Pine trench system in 1919 by Charles Bean and the Australian Historical Mission upon their return to Gallipoli.
