From Your Soldier Boy
Description
Embroidered silk postcard made in France during the First World War. Of envelope design, this postcard features a large butterfly whose wings are composed of the Union Jack, American, Italian, Romanian, Russian and Belgian flags. Small blue and purple flowers also feature in the design. A small card insert features the message "To my dear Father [and Mother]", illustrated with a cannon surrounded by Allied flags.
