Studio portrait of 2076 Private (Pte) Donald Desmond Geary from Moonan, NSW. A stockman prior to enlistment, he enlisted in April 1916 and served on the Western Front with the 36th Battalion. Pte Geary was killed at Messines by a shell on 10 June 1917 whilst covering a trench digging section with a Lewis gun, and has no known grave.
