The sheet has the following instructions. '1. Where to position mine ; 2. How to aim mine ; 3 How to arm mine ; 4. How to test Circuit ; 5. How to fire mine'.

2783900 Private Ross Frederick Wood was born in Sydney NSW on 19 May 1945. He served in Vietnam from 19 November 1966 to 12 May 1967. He initially served with 1 Australian Reinforcement Unit (1 ARU) from 19 November 1966 to 9 December 1966. He then served the rest of his tour with 5 Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment. Wood recovered this item when 1 ARU was on exercise at Nui Dat in November 1966.
