Outdoor portrait of 2750 Private (Pte) Robert Scott, 47 Battalion. A carpenter from Milton, Victoria, Pte Scott embarked with the 8th Reinforcements, 15th Battalion on 21 August 1915. Pte Scott was killed in action at Ypres, Belgium on the 12 October 1916. He was 23 years old. The photograph is housed in a wooden frame and has a mount with bronze patina. The embossed mount is an image of two soldiers and the female allegory for liberty holding a crown and flag. The top right hand corner reads, 'FOR KING AND COUNTRY'.
