Studio portrait of 698 Private (Pte) (later Corporal) Thomas George Clark, 12th Battalion, of Monteith, SA. Pte Clark was a farm hand before enlisting on 3 September 1914. He embarked from Melbourne with F Company on HMAT Geelong on 17 September 1914. He was transferred to 52nd Battalion on 1 March 1916. He was wounded in France on 6 September 1916, and died of his wounds on 7 September 1916, at the age of 22. (Print already held as H06029).
