Outdoor portrait of 2018 Private (Pte) Henry John Cox, 26th Infantry Battalion, of Parkham, Tas. A farmer prior to enlistment Pte Cox embarked with the 3rd Reinforcements from Melbourne on SS Makarini on 10 September 1915. On 12 October 1916, whilst serving with the 2nd Division Australian Trench Mortar Battery, Pte Cox was killed in action in Belgium, aged 22.
