Lieutenant Colonel L. J. Morshead DSO, standing on the steps of the 33rd Battalion Headquarters (HQ) the day following the great German assault on Villers-Bretonneux, when the 33rd Battalion played a conspicuous part in the defence. The HQ had been half wrecked by a shell.
