Description
A sketch of a landscape at Vaux-Sur-Somme with an encampment on the far bank. There is barbed wire in the foreground of the sketch. ART12644 correlates to this sketch and seems to have been excised from the sketchbook by Streeton. This sketchbook is from Streeton's first official war artist commission to France 14 May-13 August 1918 where he worked mainly around the Somme battlefields.
Purchased with the assistance of the Australian Government through the National Cultural Heritage Account, 2007
