One Palestine Pound
Description
Postcard depicting a mockup of currency and including photographic portraits of NX27570 Private (Pte) Stanley Moroney, of Tempe, NSW and his wife Doris and son Allen. Stanley Edgar Thomas Moroney enlisted on 20 June 1940 and served with the 2/101 General Transport Company, Australian Army Service Corps (AASC). He was discharged from the 2nd AIF on 23 February 1944, however remained in the Citizens' Military Forces. He was killed in a road accident on 27 April 1947.
