Pre-enlistment studio portrait of QX8992 Lieutenant (Lt) Kenneth Sydney Robertson, 2/25th Battalion, of Brisbane, Qld. A solicitor prior to enlistment, Lt Robertson served in the Middle East and New Guinea. He was killed in action at Gorari, New Guinea on 9 November 1942. He was 33 years of age. Lt Robertson's younger brother 404657 Pilot Officer (PO) Ian Ronald Robertson, 61 Squadron RAF, was killed during operations over Denmark on 28 April 1943.
