Studio portrait of 2258 Private John Howie Williams, 10th Battalion. A moulder of Richmond, SA, prior to enlistment, he embarked on HMAT Plymouth (A9). He was killed in action 30 May 1918 and buried at La Kreule Military Cemetery, Hazebrouck.
