Description
Sketch on a leaf torn from a small sketchpad, depicting a profile portrait of a soldier with glasses wearing his slouch hat, holding up his rifle. This is one of a series of sketches Benson made while aboard the SS Minnewaska, travelling from Alexandria to Lemnos Island on Easter Saturday, 1915.
