Informal outdoor portrait of 2662 Private (Pte) Alfred Webber, 33rd Battalion, of Kyogle, NSW, standing in the snow outside a hut. A dairy farmer prior to enlistment, Pte Webber embarked with the 5th Reinforcements from Sydney on SS Napier on 17 November 1916. On 7 June 1917 he was killed in action at Messines, Belgium, aged 35.
