Description

Home movies related to the service of 3796296 Craftsman (Cfn) Theodore Gerard Benne, 1st Armoured Regiment Light Aid Detachment (LAD). Cfn Benne served with the Royal Corps of Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RAEME) during 1970-1971, in the Vietnam War. Footage includes fire power demonstrations; Australian Army aircraft in flight; singers and bands performing; local Vietnamese children; basketball games; scenes of Vietnamese locals going about their normal lives; volley ball game between Australians and Vietnamese locals; firing captured weapons; The Badcoe Club; drinking and relaxing.
