Informal portrait of NX32179 Corporal (Cpl) Leslie John Cook, 2/33 Battalion. A clerk from Concord West, NSW, he enlisted on 14 June 1940. Cpl Cook died of injuries in New Guinea on 7 September 1943, he was 25 years of age.
