Description
Handwritten letter (and envelope) written on 6 July 1916 from 1st Australian Stationary Hospital, Egypt, by Sister Nellie Constance Morrice to her young niece Peggy MacInnes. Enclosed with the letter was a photograph of a doll which Morrice had made and sent to her. Also included is a note written by Morrice, asking Peggy to call the doll "Sister Helen" - this note may have accompanied the doll. The photograph is held in the Collection at P08389.001 and the doll at REL39961.
