< Previous Record | Next Record >Souvenir program from a concert held during the First World War. This program is from a matinee concert held at Victoria Palace in London on 19 October 1917. The cover illustration is in colour, and shows two soldiers, an Australian and a New Zealander, holding up the flags of their countries. The Union Jack is suspended between them. The men stand on a rocky outcrop, with the sea, a navy vessel, and two other land masses in the background. The concert was held to raise funds for the Anzac Club and featured instrumental and vocal performances together with dancing and other entertainers. The program is illustrated with photographs of Australian soldiers on active service.
