Description
Souvenir playbill produced during the First World War. This photographic copy of a playbill, written in German, is for 'Schubert Abend [an evening of Schubert]' at the theatre within the Trial Bay internment camp during 1916. The performance included Schubert's liedercyclus 'Die Schöne Müllerin [The Beautiful Millers Daughter]' sung by H. Plücker with words by W. Müller. The playbill is illustrated with a portrait of Schubert in the middle with detailed drawings of people and countryside around the edges.
