Description
Souvenir playbill produced for a play performed by internees during the First World War. This photographic copy of a playbill, written in German, is for a farce in four acts entitled 'Ein Toller Einfall [A mad idea]' and was written by Carl Laufs. The performance was held at Deutschen Theatre in Trial Bay Internment camp between 19 and 20 July 1917. The playbill is illustrated with an artist sleeping at a desk. Above him are cartoons of different people and animals.
