Description

Souvenir playbill produced during the First World War. This photographic copy of a playbill, written in German, is for a farce in three acts entitled 'Als ich wiederkam [When I returned]' and was written by Blumenthal and Kadelburg. The performance was held at Deutsches Theatre in Trial Bay Internment camp between 13 and 14 February 1917. The playbill is illustrated with old men sitting around talking, playing cards. On the wall in the picture is a poster saying 'Heralf: 45th year of the War, End not yet in sight'.
