Group portrait of officers of the 2nd Tasmanian Imperial Bushmen. Left to right back row: Lieutenant (Lt) Charles Oscar Blyth, Lt Harry Hallam, Lt Morton Henry Swan, Lt Frederick Royden Chalmers, Lt John Hutton Bisdee, later awarded the Victoria Cross (VC) for service in South Africa during the Boer War and Lt Rupert Delamere Brent. Front row: Dr Martin, Captain Spencer, Lieutenant Colonel Edwin Thomas Watchorn, Captain Carlisle Henderson, Lt George Fairbrass Richardson, Lt McCormack. The men are wearing black armbands in memory of the recently deceased Queen Victoria.
