Studio portrait of 805 Bugler (later Private) Reginald Cowel Wholohan, 19th Battalion of Harris Park, NSW. A signwriter prior to enlisting, he embarked on 16 August 1915. He was wounded in action at Flers, France on 19 November 1916, but died before reaching the dressing station, aged 19. He was buried in the field but post war his body was not recovered. He is remembered with honour on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
