Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service of NX35722 Private William Cartwright, 2/19 Battalion, prisoner of war in Malaya and Japan. Collection consists of an original diary assembled from and written on Australian Red Cross prisoner of war cards. The diary was written while Cartwright was a prisoner of war of the Japanese in Malaya and Osaka, Japan. Also included is a copy of a black and white photograph of Cartwright.
