Cecil Carrington Wamsley
Description
Studio portrait of Private (Pte) 1017 Cecil 'Curly' Carrington Wamsley, C Company, 20th Battalion, of Ourimbah, NSW. A bushman prior to enlistment he embarked from Sydney on board Transport Berrima on 25 June 1915. Pte Wamsley was reported missing and killed in action on 26 July 1916, aged 25. He has no known grave and his name is recorded on the Australian National Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, France.
