A memorial card incorporating a studio portrait of 4669 Acting Corporal (A/Cpl) Harold Eldridge Rogers, 1st Battalion, of Strathfield, NSW. He worked as a jackaroo prior to enlisting in August 1915. Harold Eldrige Rogers, reverted to the rank of private (Pte) prior to embarking with the 1st Battalion, 14th Reinforcements from Sydney on board RMS Osterley on 15 January 1916. His unit arrived in France on 28 March 1916 and Pte Rogers was listed as missing in action at Pozieres, between 22 and 25 July 1916. It was later determined that he had been killed in action. Pte Rogers was 20 years of age. Pte Rogers' older brother 2nd Lieutenant George Thomas Rogers, 13th Battalion, died on 17 August 1916 of wounds received at Pozieres, aged 24.
