Studio portrait of 5760 Private (Pte) Peter McGrath, 16th Battalion, of West Park, WA. A packer prior to enlistment he embarked from Fremantle with the 18th Reinforcements on board HMAT Seang Bee on 18 July 1916. Pte McGrath was killed in actio on 11 April 1917. He has no known grave and his name is commemorated on the Australian National Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, France.
