Description
The village of Hamel and the country in the direction of Corbie, seen from the trenches held by the Germans until the battle of Hamel on 4 July 1918. The enemy front line on the morning of the 4 July was on the crest of the hill in the middle distance but after the successful attack the trench in the foreground was occupied by the supports some 200 yards behind the new front line. This is the right hand panel of a three part panorama. Other parts are E02844A (first part) and E02884 (second part). The combined panorama is available as a digital panorama E02844P.
