Street portrait of S5362 Ordinary Seaman (OS) John Vincent Cole, HMAS Cerberus, of Manly, NSW. OS Cole enlisted in the RAN on 31 March 1941. Whilst serving in HMAS Sydney II, he was killed in action when the Sydney was sunk in the Indian Ocean by the German auxiliary cruiser Kormoran on 20 November 1941. He was aged 19.
