Studio portrait of 4830 Pte Uriel Anderson Milligan, 19th Battalion, of Macleay River, NSW, son of George Anderson Milligan and Jessie Graham Milligan. A driver prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Ceramic (A40) on 13 April 1916. He was killed in action on 12 November 1916 at Flers, France, aged 19. He has no known grave and is remembered with honour on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial
